Showcase of Innovative Wireless DECT ULE Applications
Berne, September 20, 2011. The DECT Forum, the international association of the wireless home and enterprise communication industry, is pleased to announce showcasing wireless DECT Ultra Low Energy (ULE) applications at the CAT-iq Market and Developer Conference in Eindhoven (20-21 September, Netherlands) and at the Broadband World Forum in Paris (27-29 September).
DECT ULE is a Local Area Network (LAN) technology ideal for innovative wireless low power applications within 300 meter range featuring sustained longevity for battery powered consumer equipment such as burglar and smoke alarms, door bells, and security applications. DECT ULE builds upon the mature technology, which inherits all the advantages of DECT such as worldwide interference free spectrum, proven range, simple plug and play connections, and all the benefits of an existing eco-system of multiple solution vendors.
After successfully performed protocol layer interoperability testing between multiple vendors (DECT Forum and ETSI member companies) there are currently several promising use case studies ongoing in the following application areas: home control, automation, healthcare, security, localization and tracking. The DECT Forum would like to invite you to its stands at the CAT-iq Developer Conference in Eindhoven, Netherlands (20-21 Sept.) and the Broadband World Forum in Paris (27-29 Sept.) at booth H8 (Hall Marie Curie). DECT Forum Exhibitor at Broadband World Forum 2011

The DECT Forum, the worldwide association of the home and enterprise communication industry, is pleased to announce that it will be an exhibitor at the Broadband World Forum 2011 in Paris (September 27-29). The DECT Forum and its co-exhibitors, the full member companies Dialog Semiconductor, DSP Group, RTX, Swissvoice), would like to welcome you at booth H8 (Hall Marie Curie).
The DECT Forum will present a comprehensive industry and technology update of the latest development of CAT-iq, DECT Security and DECT Ultra Low Energy (ULE):
CAT-iq: The DECT Forum has introduced the CAT-iq 2.0 certification program end of 2010. The fist CAT-iq 2.0 devices (handsets, gateways) have passed the qualification in 2011 and will be showcased at the BBWF. DECT Forum will also outline the vision of HD voice for future broadband home multimedia devices.
DECT Security: In order to improve and update the security measures of the mature and reliable DECT standard, the DECT Forum will open the window for a DECT Security certification. Devices that have passed the technical requirements of the enhanced security modification will be allowed to carry a specific logo that indicates to customers that a product meets the new and enhanced security requirements.
